This was brought to my attention earlier today by Commander Rob and I think it’s absolutely fantastic. It’s a great little website called Anchorline.ca. It’s a wealth of information of marinas and anchorages all along the British Columbia coastline. But wait! There’s more… They have information on tides, boating laws, Notices to Mariners, shoreline cams… you name it, they probably have it.
Here is a snippet from their Home Page:
Welcome to your premiere source for Marina’s and Anchorages information along BC west coast. If you are as passionate about Boating, Sailing and Cruising as we are, you will understand the necessity and the value behind a central location for all your boating needs – thus, we bring you, Anchorline.ca.
The coastal waters are considered to be amongst the finest boating destinations in the world, with over 27,000 kilometers of ocean coastline harboring over 6,000 idyllic islands and islets, deep fjords and a plethora of sheltered and unspoiled bays and pocket beaches.
A magnificent and unique network of over 80 provincial marine parks protect the scenic coastline and marine ecosystems, stretching along BC west coast. These pristine parks provide a chain of sheltered havens and secluded, cozy anchorages for all boaters cruising the west coast of British Columbia. Mooring buoys are provided, government floats are available for transient moorage, park dinghy floats are provided, and a number of the parks have rings installed for stern lines where swinging room is limited. Camping ashore is permitted in designated locations in most marine parks.”
