We are delighted to present two guest speakers on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at 1900 hours at the Confederation Community Centre, 4585 Albert St, Burnaby.
Sergeant Norm Webster, Supervisor, Vancouver Police Marine Unit, will speak on incident coordination with the Canadian Coast Guard, Royal Canadian Search and Rescue, RCMP and the US Coast Guard. He will also address proper trailering for watercraft and the need for more training in tides and currents. Sergeant Webster is known for his in-debt knowledge and sense of humour.
Alexandra Haldeman, will talk about her recent trip across the Atlantic Ocean from Cape Town, South Africa, to Brazil as crew member on a private catamaran sailing vessel. It was an amazing journey and Alexandra will share her story and stunning pictures of her voyage with the audience.
